Atandoor, also known as a tandoori oven, is a curved cylindrical pot made of clay. They have been used in live fire cooking in India for centuries. Modern tandoors - which can be run on wood, charcoal, electricity or gas - are now used all over the world to cook tandoori food.
With heat as high as 450 degrees celsius, the food is cooked very quickly - thus locking in juices and resulting in deliciously moist cooked food.
